Ryan Hysmith

Mr. Hysmith loves thinking about, talking about, and writing about investment opportunities. Through the years he has been an active participant in the industry as an analyst, a strategist, a fixed income representative, and a professor. He has a wide array of skills and his varied experiences allow him to approach the markets from a unique and valuable perspective.
Prior to joining PLP, Mr. Hysmith was the Chief Financial Officer of a manufacturing company and the Chief Market Strategist for Option Alpha, an automated trading platform for stocks and options. Mr. Hysmith also taught undergraduate and graduate finance for eight years and worked in institutional fixed-income sales for five years.
Mr. Hysmith received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Public Accounting from Freed-Hardeman University, his Master of Business Administration from Tennessee Technological University, and his Doctorate of Business Administration from Northcentral University. He also holds the Chartered Market Technician (CMT) designation.
